ProSolution™ is a male sexual enhancement product that claims to provide “rock solid hardness that feels bigger, wider, and fuller (to you and to her).” This product is also said to achieve “powerful blood flow to the penis” and “strong and fast recovery for multiple repeat sessions.” Purchase of these pills also apparently includes a “membership” in a “penis exercise program.” This product is said to feature various proprietary blends, including one featuring the dopamine precursor L-Dopa.

In reviewing this product’s ingredients, we found that many of them do not appear to be primarily used for sexual enhancement. In fact, some of these components do not seem to be recommended for this purpose at all. We were also concerned by the use of L-Dopa in the proprietary blend, as L-Dopa has been recognized by the American Hair Loss Association as being a source of “drug-induced hair loss.” We believe that men seeking to retain and amplify their virility have a right to know of this potential side effect. For men and their partners, this may be an undesirable trade-off, especially considering the various other sexual enhancement products that do not contain this ingredient. We will evaluate this formulation for its ability to provide enhanced arousal, stamina and mutual sexual satisfaction.

This formulation may contain some of the following ingredients: Solidilin™, Taj and Safflower, Momordica, Apigenin and Amla, Arjuna, Cordyceps, Zinc, Reishi Mushroom, Musli, Shatavari, Drilizen™ and Bladderwrack.

In researching the ingredients in this formulation, we found that many of these herbal components are not necessarily intended for sexual enhancement. This confused us, since there are currently several quality herbal ingredients, such as Tribulus Terrestris, Epimedium, and Damiana, which are targeted specifically for this purpose. We also were somewhat concerned about the two-patented blends, the complete constituents of which are not listed.

One of these blends claims to include “a protein amino acid that is the precursor to nitric oxide in the body.” Based on our understanding, this amino acid sounds like L-Arginine, which is commonly used in this manner. However, L-Arginine is also thought to unleash the hormone Prolactin, which reportedly has a devastating effect on sex drive. It has been said that Prolactin is a “libido killer” that can potentially lead to erectile dysfunction. We also question the inclusion of L-Dopa in this formulation, as it has been said to cause hair loss. Because men often view their hair as a symbol of youth and vitality, the loss of it may diminish sexual confidence. We believe that few women would see a balding man with a plummeting sex drive as irresistible.

This product also seems to include access to a “penis exercise program” Website. Apparently, this “exercise” program is intended to improve stamina, orgasm control and erection quality. This site also apparently teaches the Arabic “penis enlargement” technique called jelqing. Jelqing has unfortunately been linked to various undesirable effects on the penis. According to one consumer who tried this method, “I lost all sensation on the right side of my penis, the left side of the shaft was swollen, and I had a tingle / ache on the right side.” It has also been said that penis exercises in general are not effective.

We believe that this product somehow overlooked some of the most powerful sexual enhancement ingredients, while utilizing some highly questionable ones. We are reticent to embrace a product that takes this approach.

Currently, some of the most talked about sexual enhancement ingredients are Yohimbe, Tribulus Terrestris, Yohimbe, Panax Ginseng and Damiana. These ingredients work together to enhance penile blood flow, increase turgidity, and supercharge stamina and vigor.
